The drums had been rolled.
The trumpets had been blown.
The Dark Age had come to this mighty sinner’s realm.
And everyone knew that war had begun.
Horses trampled in all those barren lands,
with their masters on their backs in full gear and arms.
“Into the battlefields”, they yelled as they rode their
horses.
Into the battlefields they marched with their gleaming
swords at hand…
They rode and they marched…
Onward the battlefields, they sung…
Proclaiming to the foes that they had arrived
And thunders of fury were heard all around.
Spears and arrows
reigned and struck men to their doom.
Swords were
slashed and were stained with life.
In the bloodshed fields of this sinner’s land…
Thanatos had come to take his prey.
Blood curdling screams and unstoppable cries,
Heard from the innocents who were now prisoners of war.
As showers of fire descended from the heaven’s above,
Burning all the dark souls of this darken land.
Thousands were killed, millions had suffered.
In this forsaken land of greed, honor and pride.
Where no peace nor hope had existed
Where nothing was left but the wanderers of the night…
And the silence of the dead; condemned and forgotten.
